Body waxing
Face
Facial waxing (upper lip, chin, eyebrows, cheekbones, nostrils) requires very precise work in small areas, always stretching the skin tightly. Hard wax is especially important here, as it is gentle on the thin skin of the face. It should be applied in the direction of hair growth and removed against the direction of growth. It is recommended to apply a soothing skin cream afterwards.
If you are using retinoids, AHA/BHA or intensive peels, postpone waxing for at least 48-72 hours to reduce the risk of irritation and hyperpigmentation. Apply a soothing, post-wax product after the procedure. It is best not to use makeup on the waxed area for 12-24 hours.
The result lasts up to eight weeks and provides effective facial exfoliation, evened complexion, pigmentation, and a cleaner, smoother appearance.
Armpits
Underarm hair grows in different directions, so divide the area into 2-3 smaller sections and treat each one separately, adjusting the direction of application - the wax should be applied in the direction of hair growth and removed against the direction of growth. The layer of hard wax should be even and thick enough to securely grip the lip . Remove any deodorant residue before waxing.
After the procedure, avoid antiperspirants and intense exercise, heat, and friction for at least 24 hours to reduce irritation and the risk of folliculitis.
Underarm waxing provides smooth skin, fewer ingrown hairs, and, in some cases, reduces sweat odor.
Bikini area
Bikini waxing requires the most control and skin tightening, as the skin in this area tends to be the most sensitive. You have to work in very small areas and always need a precise lip to make the removal quick and precise. Hard wax granules are also best for the bikini area - the hairs in the bikini area tend to be harder and the skin more sensitive - the wax grabs the thicker hairs without sticking to the skin.
Before the procedure, cleanse the skin, dry it completely and do not use oils. Then choose breathable cotton underwear, avoid swimming, saunas and intense exercise for at least 24 hours to reduce irritation. The results remain smooth for about 3-4 weeks.
If you are prone to ingrown hairs, maintain regular, gentle exfoliation and moisturizing daily.
Hands
Arm waxing is a popular choice for both men and women.
When waxing your arms, apply the wax in short, straight sections, especially around the curves of your forearms and elbows. The hair is usually more uniform than in your armpits, so the results will last up to 4 weeks.
Regular, gentle exfoliation (starting 2-3 days after the procedure) reduces the likelihood of ingrown hairs and maintains smoothness.
Legs
When waxing your legs, it may be tempting to apply wax in large areas, but this increases the risk of the wax breaking and tangling, which in turn reduces the effectiveness of the wax. It is better to apply the wax in even, medium-sized strips, with proper technique and careful pressure during application to ensure that the wax completely covers the hair.
If the hairs are long, shorten them to ~5 mm - this reduces pain and improves extraction with the entire root. After waxing, avoid hot baths, tight clothing and sports for 24 hours. After 48 hours, perform a gentle peeling 2–3 times a week.
